On Blogging and the Short History of Publishing

n 1439 a professional German goldsmith, Johannes Gutenberg, created an invention for worldwide change.

This facilitated enormous evolution to society in Europe and globally.
The machine he created, known as the "printing press", provided for the first time the means for the mass production of books.
Over 3,600 pages a day could be printed compared to the forty that could be produced by hand printing.
This was an increase in production of over 9,000 per cent!
This machine changed everything.
Francis Bacon, the English philosopher said in 1620 that printing was one of three things that "changed the whole face and state of things throughout the world".
It introduced the era of mass communication, which changed forever the structure of society and culture.
In 2014 there is a new publishing machine that can reach millions worldwide in real time.
It's the humble blog.
Blogging is the new printing press that publishes on the World Wide Web.
It's also called "online publishing"
Online publishing is the biggest change to how knowledge is created and shared in over 550 years.
It provides the platform for you to position yourself as an expert and leader online.
